Overview

Kobugo processes microphone audio to provide live translation and plays a translated voice to listeners in your room. We minimise the data we keep and aim to be transparent about how it’s used.

Data we process

• Microphone audio (short chunks): processed to generate transcripts and translated speech; then discarded.
• Technical logs: IP (truncated), timestamps, error codes. Kept briefly for reliability and abuse prevention.
• Ad data: handled by Google (see below).

Legal bases

We process audio to perform the service you request (contract). Logs are kept for legitimate interests (security, reliability).

Google Advertising

We use Google AdSense. Google may use cookies or mobile identifiers to serve and measure ads. Manage personalisation at Ads Settings. See Google Policies.

EEA/UK/CH consent

We display a consent message (CMP) where required. Your choices control whether personalised ads are used.

Retention & security

• Audio chunks: discarded after processing.
• Logs: retained briefly then deleted or aggregated.
• Access controls and encryption are applied to our infrastructure.
